bwht - BSU program non-linear spectral whitening using band-pass filters and AGC
bwht [ -h | infile | twide | fcent | bwdth | froll ]
Basic Seismic Utilities (BSU) applies overlapping band-pass filters, each filter output being independently autogained. The sum of the independently filtered signals is output to the output file. Fortran 77.
Options
-h |
Online help giving details on command line arguments
infile |
Input file name | ||
twide |
Length in seconds for the AGC box-car smoother of the energy level.
fcent |
Center frequency of the desired output sum.
bwdth |
Bandwidth of the desired output sum. Pass-band is fcent +/- bwdth/2
froll |
Roll off, also the spacing between center the center frequencies of each band-pass filter. |
NOTE:
If invoked with no options, will prompt user for input
parameters.
EXAMPLE:
bwht wave.seg 0.1 50 50 25
Center frequencies of individual filters are 25, 50, and 75 hz. When summed, the effective pass-band is centered on 50 hz, +/- 25 hz. scale.
bwhtxxxx.seg
Output, data set with new headers. Named according to convention (first 4char bwht, the next 4char are the first 4char of the input file name, suffix .seg).
standard output
produces a progress bar
bwhtxxxx.lst
echo check of input parameters and line-printer plots.
