in_chk - function to examine a bsegy seismic file
int in_chk( int *ntraces, int *npts, float *fsamin, struct header hd, FILE *h1 )
Basic Seismic
Utilities (BSU) function scans a bsegy file to find number
of traces, number of samples per trace, and sample interval.

Arguments
*ntraces (int)
Pointer for number of traces.
*npts (int)
Pointer for number of samples in a trace.
*fsamin (float)
Pointer for sample interval in units of seconds.
hd (struct header)
bsegy header
*h1 (FILE)
Pointer to file being read
NOTE:
Trace header data are defined as a "header
structure" in the bsegy.h include file. For an example
on how to use this function, see demonstration master
program, cmst.c.
