bsegin.m - Reads bsegy data including selected header data

SYNOPSIS

bsegin.m

function
[data,frange,pic,rx,ry,rz,sx,sy,sz,sd,sp,vp,
geoazi,geover]=bsegin(fp1,npts,jtrace)

OUTPUT
data = seismic trace data
frange = source to receiver offset
pic = first break pic if any
rx,ry,rz = geophone coordinates
sx,sy,sz = source coordinates
sd = source depth
sp = shot point ID
vp = voltage point (geophone station) ID
geoazi = geophone orientation horizontal plane, East=90 degrees
geover = geophone orientation in vertical plane, nader=180 degrees

INPUT
fp1 = file handle
npts = number of samples in file (from segyinfo.m)
jtrace = trace number to read (direct file access)

DESCRIPTION

Basic Seismic Utilities (BSU) program run in Octave or Matlab. Reads *.seg data set (bsegy binary file) into octave environment.
